Since I was very young, Georgia O’Keefe has been mine. I watched and read everything about her and by her.
My favorite movie “Georgia O’Keeffe” with a beautiful Joan Allena and Jeremy Iron (who will always be my Lolita guy) stole my heart. Nobody makes movies like this anymore. Or, rather, I’m old.
If you’ve been following my art for a while, you know well that my Bloomlands are inspired by Georgia. Her famous quote:
When you take a flower in your hand and really look at it, it’s your world for the moment. I want to give that world to someone else. Most people in the city rush around so, they have no time to look at a flower. I want them to see it whether they want to or not.
